Chris Evans is married to 27-year-old Portuguese actress, Alba Baptista. Beginning her career over a decade ago in Portugal, Baptista’s breakout role came in the local series, Jardins Proibidos. She’s since gone on to star in Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris, horror flick Amelia’s Children and Borderline with Samara Weaving and Ray Nicholson.
Fans believe Evans and Baptista began dating back in 2021 after the actress began following not only her now-husband on Instagram, but his family, too.

It was a set of Halloween pumpkins that first had internet sleuths convinced Chris Evans and Alba Baptista were dating. Yes, you read that right.
Dating rumours had already been circling the couple, but in November 2022, Evans shared a pic of the Halloween directions to Instagram, and eagle-eyed followers noted they matched those of Alba’s mum, Elsa.
Mere days later a source confirmed to People the couple had been dating “for over a year and it’s serious.”
Around the same time, the Materialists star was named Sexiest Man Alive, and revealed during his interview he wanted the whole package: “wife, kids, building a family.”
He made good on that statement almost a year later when he and Alba tied the knot.
While on his Materialists press tour, Evans gave rare details about his proposal revealing he thought he ‘screwed it up’.
I proposed to my now-wife in Portuguese—she’s Portuguese,” Evans told The Knot. “So I learned how to say, ‘Will you marry me?’ in Portuguese. And I had practiced all week.”
“I had practiced it so much that, while her and I, I’d be making breakfast and you almost just start saying it out loud and you’re like, ‘Oh God.’ That’s not just a song that’s stuck in my head, it’s gonna let the cat out of the bag.”
Where Did Chris Evans Marry Alba Baptista?
The couple married at a private estate in in Cape Cod in September of 2023.
